In a saucepan, combine one teaspoon of freshly grated ginger with little more than one cup of freshwater. Let it boil.  Once it boiled, bring down the flame and let it simmer for five minutes. Pour the tea through the sieve into the cup. A dash of lime enhances its flavor.
