Ingredients required

  • Muslin cloth
  • Sandalwood paste
  • Castor or almond oil
  1. Take a piece of muslin cloth and dip it in sandalwood paste. Let it dry in the sun for about two hours. Repeat this process four to five times
  2. After this, make a wick out of the dried cloth and place it on a mud lamp lit with castor or almond oil
  3. Place a brass vessel over the mud lamp with a small gap for oxygen supply
  4. Let the lamp keep burning overnight
  5. In the morning, collect the residue in a jar and mix it with ghee or clarified butter
  6. Whisk with a small spoon until it combines well
  7. Your homemade Kajal for babies is ready. Store it in an airtight container
